This is truly a gorgeous vehicle. Just over 8 years old and just breaking 100K miles, this car is a marvel of German engineering. The A6 is the mid-range sedan size coming between the A4 and A8. Were you to compare it to a BMW, this is the 5-series equivalent.
When we received this car, it needed almost NO reconditioning -- the paint was in great shape and the interior was nearly flawless. You can see what we found in our blemish report which is available on our website. CarFax reports an accident in April of xxxx with "Very Minor Damage" -- minor enough it is hard for us to know what happened!
This Audi was born in California and stayed there for a year until it moved to Texas -- and it's been here since. Great move -- Texas is the right place to be! We had to replace the left rear taillight as the LED lights were out. We also had to replace the left front headlight due to an adaptive headlight motor problem. We replaced a gasket on the vacuum pump which caused a slight oil leak and that is about all we've done.
This car has the 3.2L V6 which is good for about 255 HP -- plenty of getup and go even for this size vehicle. It is also 4WD which in Audi parlance is a Quattro. The Quattro drive is legendary and increases the roadability and inclement weather handling significantly. Beyond the lengthy list of features on any Audi A6, this has two optional packages that I would absolutely want on my vehicle.
The first is the Premium Package which includes a sunroof, heated front seats, Bi-xenon headlights for great nighttime driving clarity, driver's seat with memory function, folding exterior mirrors (great for preventing accidental damage when parking in open lots, etc.) and a wonderful BOSE surround sound. This package was worth over $3,500 when new.
The other key option is the Technology Package which was another $2,500 when new. Some of the highlights in this package include an advanced key (keyless start/stop), the Audi parking system with rearview camera, adaptive headlights (these turn with the steering wheel so as to illuminate otherwise dark corners), built-in garage door openers and a really cool (and handy) power tilt/telescope steering column.
This vehicle is an absolute joy to drive -- I would personally put the experience on par with a BMW. The upgraded alloy wheels look awesome so you will be traveling in style! Take a look at this car and buy it before it is snatched up!
