What have we here? A work truck. Really. A work truck. I like to consider this pre-conditioned for working a ranch or construction site. You know it's a work truck because the bed is dinged up from hauling and there are a few dents and some scratches on the sides of the vehicle. A complete writeup of these things can be found in our blemish report. The other reason it's a work truck is because we made sure it's ready to go! Here are just a few things we did to this truck after we received it: New upper control arms on both sides; New ball joints on both sides; New sway bar links on both sides; New oil pump and filter housing; New oil pan gasket; New jack and tools for changing a flat tire; New high mount brake light and cargo light; Replacement rear bumper -- the prior one was painted and mangled, this one has a dent on one side and is chrome; Replacement seats -- and this is really cool by the way -- because the prior seats were torn and unattractive. We found some very attractive cloth two tone (black and grey) seats from a higher end series and these have a power driver's seat. This is a one-off basic XL model with a power seat! Some other things worth mentioning -- this has the 4.2L V6 so it's both rugged and more fuel-efficient than a V-8 model. It should be reliable because there are fewer amenities to cause problems -- it has crank-up windows, 2WD and a regular cab.
